Soma (1997 to 1998) comprised of Dave Scilly (guitar/vocal), Mark Jurd (bass) and Gary Wren (drums) and played gigs around Sydney. A band that practiced down in the south of Sydney, their one release was “LIVE TO DAT”, a recording made at Musicbox Rehearsal studios, with Nick Blaxell doing the mixing and sound production. The band concentrated mostly on coming up with short, sharp songs with hooks, based on a combination of influences including funk, prog, metal and hard rock.
